A free service which offers advice and information to Cornish employers about the training and learning needs of their staff and volunteers.

WHAT IS TRAIN TO GAIN?


Train to Gain is a free service which offers advice and information to Cornish employers about the training and learning needs of their staff and volunteers.  This advice and information service or skills brokerage service is designed to work with organisations of any size and within any sector including the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

It offers:
• Free impartial and independent advice from a dedicated skills broker
• Access to a wide range of training provision
• Access to subsidised training programmes

In the South West region, Train to Gain is delivered through the Business Link service, on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council. There are 44 Business Link Skills brokers working across the South West including designated leads for working with the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector.

referral to:
• Investors in People
• Apprenticeships
• Higher Level Skills
• Bespoke training
• Sector specific training
• Funded initiatives available through partner organisations
In all instances your Skills Broker will be able to give you more
detailed information.
The CIP (Cornwall Infrastructure Partnership) also offer a range
of initiatives including:
• ‘Training Matters’ programme of short courses for staff and
volunteers.
• Funding advice.
• Running a Social Enterprise.
